Floral Design Day
On February 28th, 2020 is the National Floral Design Day. The day that we recognize the art and history of floral design. For many years, floral design has been an important part of our culture and one of our art forms. This is the day we celebrate that art form. It may be in a bouquet, painting, in textiles, a garden or a floral arrangement.
NATIONAL FLORAL DESIGN DAY HISTORY
Floral Design Day was created as a unique way to celebrate a special birthday of Carl Rittner, the founder of the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston over 60 years ago. Mr. Rittner is a pioneer in floral art education. The people at Rittners felt that the idea of a holiday that celebrates floral design as an art form is a wonderful one whose time had come. So they, along with Mr. Rittner, wanted to see Floral Design Day continue to be observed as an event in its own right. In 1995, Governor William F. Weld of Massachusetts, proclaimed this day as Floral Design Day.
FLORAL ART
In the UAE, during the months of November to May, a spectacular display of flower arrangements will be displayed. They call the place the Miracle Garden. It is one of the most visited places in the region and the world itself. It carries an incredible experience of different stunning floral installations consisting of around 150 million flowers. All of them are gathered into colorful arches, patterns, and myriad shapes. 
Dubai Miracle Garden has earned two Guinness World Records for the largest vertical garden (2013) and the world’s largest floral sculpture forming the shape of an Airbus A380 (2016) as well as the accolade for the Tallest (18m) Topiary Sculpture (2018).
The guests will have an opportunity to stroll along Disney Avenue, see the underground floral cascade Lost Paradise, enjoy the view of living heaven – Lake Park, walk through the most featured Hearts Passage, catch an eye on 15-metre Floral Clock, visit Airbus A380 itself and much more of floral art!
